One of the instructions built a ramp where a stainless steel ball hit several pipes on its way. By replacing them with tuned bell whistles, my daughter was able to get her to play a small sequence of recognizable notes from the song! It's worth every penny spent. My 5 year old fell in love with the YouTube video of this marble race so I got it for Christmas. It's great quality and works well but my god it takes a long time to assemble. Well made article. We were amazed at how precise and durable the tiny details were. Some parts are difficult for our 8 year old girl to put together as her arms are not strong enough. Her complaint that some parts scratched her when her hands slipped off. Assembling models with younger children definitely requires parental involvement. My son got this as part of his permanent STEM subscription. It is much more difficult and reliable compared to other "marble routes" with many different plans that you can work out or end up doing yourself. My 8 year old son loved it but the biggest problem was that the instructions weren't always the clearest. I'm in my early 30s but there were times I helped him and used to make mistakes because the charts weren't the best. Suffice it to say my eight year old son is not very confident that he
