Required to cut upholstery fabric to remove activity cushions. This little item does the trick and I had no problem cutting through layers of street fabric (which is thick). I would definitely recommend a cutting mat when using this item due to the sharpness of the blade and the fact that pressure is required to cut through layers of fabric. I'm glad to have this item.

I did a quick test with a piece of thick felt but it cuts well and comes out smooth. I figured out how to replace the blade without spending a ton of money, although I can always get it later because I'm, well, clumsy. I almost cut myself just holding it. I'll update this as soon as I can test it in the real world. My project is quick in terms of sewing and with a few cuts, but it's felty and big so there should be a chance to shine.

This is my third Fiskars circle cutter. I chose titanium because I thought it would provide the best cut for the quilt. I'm very disappointed that it just wasn't sharp and couldn't cleanly cut through a folded piece of calico material. This is the easiest circle cutter I have ever owned. The blade bounces up and down with the click of buttons (one is more like a toggle switch, but only to pull the blade out; there's a small button on one side that you press to reinsert the blade). You can unscrew one side of the blade retention mechanism to loosen it a bit, but be careful not to unscrew it too far or the blade won't actually come loose.
