Type of review

If you have one of these older Dodge vehicles with the wear prone bell shaped joint in the steering shaft just in front of the gear box then you probably know how quickly they wear and sloppy they get which makes steering the vehicle like trying to herd cats. This replacement shaft does away with the bell joint and replaces it with a modern slip type shaft and a u-joint which makes the vehicle steer like it should again. Easy to install, works GREAT.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Relatively expensive compared to other aftermarket steering shaft options

Well built replacement for a very economical price

Very well made replacement for a very problematic factory steer shaft on old Dodge square bodies. This shaft has a very long telescoping shaft so it will work on trucks with body lifts as well.Splines are accurate and slide right onto the input shaft with no slop.Only thing I’m not a huge fan of is the yoke being held by set screw and jamb nut- I would prefer use of the factory style roll pin, but i understand why it’s made this way- since Dodge changed the mounting arrangement several times…

Pros
  • Trim
Cons
  • Design may not appeal to all vehicle owners due to its industrial aesthetic
