Another happy customer!

Very satisfied with the quality of the cable and the condition on arrival. I think some reviews said it came with 25 ends but I didn't know that and the fact that the ends were skipped really unified my whole purchase because I also ordered a pass-through pliers on the same day have.

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

New to cable work.

I have never operated Cat 5e, it was my first time and the cable was fine. Can't compare to other brands but the wires have been brittle on a few occasions and it seemed like this wire was a bit prone to kinks but again this was my first time running a cable so never mind. to my rating.

Pros
  • Finally bought
Cons
  • Communication with the seller

VERY FRAGILE. DEFINITELY NOT.

VERY FRAGILE. BE SURE NOT TO BEND THE END OF THIS WIRE - YES I USE IT FOR VIDEO SECURITY BALUNS BUT BE CAREFUL IF YOU USE THIS OTHERWISE. I don't know but a cat with RJ45 ends might be fine.

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

This is enough in a pinch, but you get what you pay for!

The cable technically meets the standards to be called CAT5e, but in general it's one of the smaller classes of cable I've worked with. The outer PVC jacket is so thin that the cable can be kinked extremely easily when exiting the box. I mean, if you're doing some house wiring, you'll probably be fine. If you're doing commercial work or somewhere that's subject to some degree of wear and tear, spend the extra money and buy the next pack of better quality cables.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Blunt hardware

Fail, Fail, Fail -- Epic Fail

This product fails right out of the box. Bulk Cat5E cable really has one and only one requirement (besides meeting the requirements for Cat5E, which this cable doesn't meet as it's primarily aluminum wire) – it must be easy to pull. This cable is terrible - it gets twisted and twisted all the time. I started pulling it and could only do about 10 feet at a time which sucks. Compared to a freshly emptied case of General Cable Cat5E (which pulls beautifully), that's utter nonsense. With the…

Good for what it is, good value cable

As many reviews say, this is a CCA. I wouldn't use it for POE, and while I agree it won't hit true C5E speeds, it does a decent job. I bought it with the intention of using it for my network cameras, for which it does an excellent job. I've also used it on several 100MB devices around the house (media players, printers, etc.). It works fine for her. I'm not sure what they did, but the cable was easy to work with. It's a little stiff, so be careful when running it up walls, it can snag and…

  • Excellent overall performance

  • Doubtful

very brittle wire in Ethernet cables

very brittle wire that breaks when cut. I haven't tested the crease, but it looks like it will snap on one severe crease or a few tight kinks. copper clad aluminum so it's properly labeled and you know what you're getting but I wasn't expecting it to be so brittle. I use it for both cable routing and small breadboard wires and always use your fingernails when stripping. The insulation strips very easily and any cuts or scrapes on the wire with a standard wire stripper will immediately create a…
