Fjallraven Kanken Mini Backpack Blue: Compact and Stylish Travel Essential Review

Bought this mini Kanken for daughter's birthday. The quality is what I expect from an expensive bag. I got this for a little less than what I've seen in retail stores and less than what's on Fjällräven's website. Delivery took longer than expected (due to Christmas) so it arrived after her birthday. She was still hooked and loved everything about her cranken.

My teenage daughter loves it! She is already a medium size, which she likes to use for overnight stays and everyday school life. We bought a medium sized model about 3 years ago and it has been showing signs of wear lately (holes and such). This is a smaller version, she uses it to carry some everyday items and a purse that looks more like a purse. If it can last 3 years with their lifestyle, I say it's worth it. Everything is adjustable and looks great.

I like it. When I first saw it it was small and almost returned it due to its size, but then I discovered that it actually has quite a lot of stuff in it! It fit in my digital camera, my cellphone, a sweatshirt and a polaroid + a pack of film. It was great for day trips. However, if I wanted to take all the items listed plus an umbrella or a book, I wouldn't be able to do so. I can stick with the classics. Otherwise great for day trips.

High quality, durable backpack that offers more space than you think! For the record, my 24 ounce Hydroflask fits in easily. I was worried about getting a fake bag but I bought mine from Movatik and got a real bag. It's made in Vietnam, so the inside seams are taped and there's a small flag on the inside. I've seen a few sites that compare real bags to fake ones and I can say with confidence that mine is the real one. Received in less than 2 days.

I would give this baby four or five stars before I realize it's fake. Go to Youtube to watch videos showing how to tell them apart. It has no zipper and a small Swedish flag on the inside. The problem seems to be growing and Revane really can't control it. I have since - cautiously - ordered another one from Revain which appears to be the real thing. I've had my eye on this Fjällräven bag for a long time and finally decided to buy it. Between purchasing and receiving the bag I was a bit nervous and felt guilty/stupid for spending so much on a mini backpack.
