There isn't any support in that area so the fabric doesn't contour to your shape and the fabric isn't attached in the middle which leads to further "instability". If you are not used to corsets, it may take a while to learn how to put it own without help, but I know the tricks, so it was easy to put on. Fit great, just go by the sizing chart, and gives u a great hourglass figure. One of the best corsets I have bought on-line. I am not a small girl, and in between sizes so I was worried at which one to get. I got the XXL and it fits perfectly.The sizing on revain is a bit off. At the time I was 40" Bust and rigth between 34-36" waist. I am at 36" now and it still fits me.The only thing that I would change ( And did) was the ribbon was too short for me to use it properly. I went out and bought some cheap black ribbon and re did it. It looks much better now.
