Nice shelves but quality issues. There are a few scratched spots on both shelves and the included black screws really ruin the look of these shelves. Doesn't look right. In addition, the sheet pile anchors had been torn off, the plastic tips had broken off and they were wider than the metal braces so they could be seen behind the braces. Had to buy anchors and gold/brass screws from Home Depot and now the shelves look right/better.

These shelves have come out beautiful. Installation was easy, but getting to the actual installation wasn't easy. The wooden shelves came with no pilot holes, hence my title. Luckily I had a drill and I drilled holes in the boards first and then in the wall. I wish the screws were the same gold instead of black, but you can use your own if you have them or paint them gold. You'll need a drill, a spirit level, some patience, and a friend to help you mark the holes while you hold up the shelves.

These shelves have the quality you would expect for $18. I like the look and they work for what I need, but I was unhappy with a few things. You need to attach the gold pieces to the wood, but there are no marks showing where to attach and drill them. While this isn't too difficult, it does make the process a bit more difficult because you'll have to measure yourself to make sure you've placed each gold coin in the same spot on both sides. Also, they send you black screws that look awful…

So far so good with these. There were some complaints that they didn't have pre-drilled holes so I posted a little video for you guys to show you how to mark the holes. I wanted silver brackets but I really like their style so I sanded my brackets lightly and then painted them silver before hanging them on the wall. Bought two shelves. There have also been complaints that the screws are black. The screws I received are closer to the color of the gold staples so they no longer ship black…

Let me start by saying that these shelves smelled TERRIBLE upon unpacking. It smelled like a rhino exhibit at a zoo. I don't know how they were treated but it took disinfectant wipes and airing before they were no longer a smoke hazard. You look good enough. I have some picky comments.
