Not saying you'll have a lot of fun with it, but as a collectible, gadget, or geek toy, it's cool. The quality is really good, the metal is folded into a circle but no scratches or creases were found. Also comes with a well-folded carry bag that will come in handy when caring for it. My boys LOVE them. When they got home from school, I told them to close their eyes and stretch out their hands. I placed the flattened one gently in each child's arms. Then he let her open her eyes. There was a moment of confusion/frustration and then I told them to gently raise their hand and the rings came alive! Their eyes widened and I showed them how to use them. This is a fun little fidget toy that can distract you or keep you busy for a short time when you need to do something, when you are anxious or just want to dive in thought for a few minutes. It's about as strong as a tight-fitting one, and I suppose it won't stand up to rough handling on, say, a very young child, although I can see that in a cautious and quiet child it occupies both their minds as well as satisfying their need for visual and tactile stimulation for a long time. I think you get what you pay for. I was excited to try one of these kinetic rings but didn't want to spend money on Toroflux (the "original" brand). Instead, I chose one of these. This particular toy cannot easily take its form (from flat ring to "3D sculpt"). It also won't hold its shape around the object like Toroflux seems to do (it will just fall into flat rings). You can have a toy flow down your arms and it's a bit cool, but it's not as impressive as a higher quality product. All in all…

These rings are amazing! I chose this brand because the reviews were a bit higher and more positive than other brands. I will attest that the quality of the metal is excellent, more durable than thin but light and 'flexible' in the right sense. I would not recommend this to anyone under the age of 5 as while ring folding is very easy it does require some gentleness/respect and I don't expect a toddler to understand or have the patience to do so.
