I ordered this to replace the Fluval FX5 canister filter. It arrived quickly and was an exact replacement for what was in the box. Ribbed hoses collect dirt from your tank over time. Mine was attached to a 75 gallon turtle tank and as soon as I put the new hose on it worked like a new canister again! Highly recommended.

I really like Fluval products. I can't stress this enough. I bought this for my fx6, my tank is 8ft tall with the stand and canopy so I couldn't cut the cord they sent in half as advised. My only complaint is how thin the line between the ribs is. And I've read several reports of leaking finned hoses. But the filter is absolutely silent. And with the installation I think anyone can do it, although an extra pair of hands really helps!

Bought new from Revain in May 2018, woke up in January 2020 to leak from a small hole. Luckily I had a water alarm that went off before it got bad. . It's cheap plastic but I figured it would last well over a year and a half. Went to Home Depot and bought a 10ft heater hose for less than what I paid for that junk. It's about 3 times thicker and won't let you down. You will need a 3/4" ID and a 1" OD and it will fit right onto the filter and just add a hose clamp.

I bought two of these hoses and they come with one for a total of three hoses. It would have been two if I hadn't cut off the first hose. But they will both be replaced after the holes show up and spit 60 gallons into my house. So I bought a third one in May and it started leaking this month. The video shows what is left of the flowing water. With the filter on, he drilled a hole in my drywall. I love this filter but the hose sucks, anything that only lasts a few months is a waste of money.
