It comes pre assembled and easy to start, the only thing I don't like is the clarity of the water. The filtration system is not working well and this is the cause of cloudy water.

Liked the tank…. I have live plants, tetras and snowball shrimp that are thriving but not producing enough O2 (ie too much algae) without constant attention. It would be nice to add a stool like the one I bought for him. All in all the best tank I have owned in many years.

Insanely happy with the tank. Axolotls don't like strong currents and the way the drain is arranged in this tank makes it very easy for the axol (that's what it's called) to keep the water calm. The filter is strong enough to do its job but not so strong that it creates unwanted movement in the water. The light coming out of the tank was strong enough to keep the Revane xiphoid plant alive, but not strong enough to cause algae problems. It's just a really nice little tank that's easy to set up…

My only complaint is that algae grows fast in the aquarium so it needs constant cleaning! Not sure why as the water stays clear it's only on the glass and back and shows a lot on the white back. This is a really nice 15 gallon aquarium with great features. I have to say that I was completely surprised at how good the filtration system is. I used to have to clean the aquarium every week and run the filter system every two to three days. With this tank, the water stays crystal clear for weeks. I flush the filter system every 10 days even though the water is clean. At first I thought maybe I paid too much for this aquarium, but now I don't regret the purchase at all. About every 4-6 weeks
