Great investment, 2 toys in 1!

Bought this for my 12 year old son for Christmas, he is LOVED! Among other things, he wanted a RC car and a drone, but when I saw this I thought I could get 2 gifts for the price of one. GOOD CHOICE! He couldn't be happier. I spent my days looking for the best toys. There are so many toys on the market that it is difficult to choose. Well, there aren't many of these on the market, which made me hesitate a bit, but they hit the nail on the head! The car is easy to control even at high speed (it…

Great purchase! good for C/C RC cars and parts

The Syma X9 RC Flying Quadcopter is one of the most fun toys my kids have given me in a very, very long time. For $49 (what I paid at the time of purchase) it was worth every penny for the fun I and the kids had with this little flying toy. Being able to drive and just take off into the sky is so cool. The quad is fairly easy to control compared to some other quads I've tried. I will definitely buy another color or two so we can fly at the same time. Another plus of this model is that it comes…

Even after reading the manual I have a hard time.

Even after reading the instructions, I have trouble freezing the machine at one point. It moves one way or the other. I fly indoors so it's not a wind issue. UP from 7-8-18 I don't know what happened. Lost control of this thing. The controller doesn't respond at all. When placed on the ground, the device folds onto its back. If it is turned off and on again, it will climb, but will move backwards and not steer forward. I've tried setting up the trimmer with the controller but nothing seems to…

Not a bad RC car, but nothing outstanding

Got this yesterday and was on the fence about it. Yesterday he had a small accident (in the bushes) during a very fast test drive, which made him not want to turn left in driving mode. Today it seems to work perfectly. Technically, he is quite good. Nice and slow on low settings, good for indoor use and fast enough on high settings for outdoor use. Seems quite responsive in both settings. He does somersaults and somersaults and seems to be struggling with recovery, but I wouldn't write it off…

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Cheaply made, poor design

Got this for my 5 year old son as a Christmas present and even he says "the elves didn't do it very well". The product is cheap. made of cheap and fragile material. It only works half the time - even with fresh and fully charged batteries - and no one can guess when it will fly, drive or do neither. The design is terrible too. Well-made aviators have a ring around the blades to protect hands, faces, etc. These blades will stab (i.e. if you try to walk up to him and grab him so he doesn't bump…

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Not bad
