Description of Folding knife Cold Steel Tuff Lite Plain Edge black

A small, sturdy everyday knife (EDC) that comes in handy in the office for cutting packaging, making precise cuts, and more. The powerful Tuff Lite has a strong lock, grip, proven steel and a nice look. The Cold Steel Tuff Lite blade is made of Japanese AUS-8 stainless steel, which is an excellent compromise between price and cutting properties. The blade is short and wide, intermediate in shape between Wharncliffe and Heepfoot. Due to this, the blade develops monstrous pressure when cutting "on itself", but it can perform fine and precise work. A significant part of the length of the blade is "eaten" by a semi-choil, which forms a comfortable full-size handle from it. The slopes are concave, 2/3 of the height. Ricasso allows you to use the index finger grip on the blade. The butt is equipped with large non-aggressive notches that allow you to comfortably position your thumb. Large flat areas and a small muzzle will make it easy to adjust the knife on any sharpener. The opening of Cold Steel Tuff Lite is made using the original oblong hole 16.8x7.7 mm. The knife features the world''s strongest Tri-Ad Lock, designed by Andrew Demko for Cold Steel. Thanks to him, the knife is devoid of backlash, actually turning into a full-fledged fixed knife. Triad-lock withstands a load of up to 280 kg without breaking, which is an absolute record for folding knives. The Cold Steel Tuff Lite handle has a closed design and is made of advanced Griv-Ex polymer, which has improved fire resistance, low temperature impact resistance, chemical resistance, cut resistance and does not absorb moisture. The texture of the dice is fine and slightly rough, provides excellent grip and does not slip. The clip is moderately rigid, it is rearranged to the right and left sides in the tip-down position and provides additional grip strengthening. There is a large oblong lanyard hole (18.5x5.6 mm), made in the style of a hole on the blade.

It has been in use by me for more than a month. I have a small pocket on my right side, next to the lighter, where I keep my jeans. It is well-fitting and does not obstruct the pocket's functionality. Some people can use it as a keychain because it is so little. taken with AUS-8 steel. She is someone I know, sharpens easily, and acts in accordance with expectations. For the money, a standard knife for everyday use. They can't be used to cut bread or sausage, but all you can do is open the box…

Pros
  • For opening boxes, a short, flat blade with a pleasant tip is ideal. It is small, light, and takes up little room. well in the hand lies. It is practical to use because the working surface is just below the fingers.
Cons
  • Backlock. Compared to other locks, folding with one hand is inconvenient. but trustworthy. It can be a little difficult on the pocket for a novice since. wide yet just brief. Doesn't catch, only occasionally obstructs the width
