Didn't work on my floors

My 1942 floors are old and noisy when walked on. They have been carpeted for over 20 years. I tore up the carpet to polish the floors. I was looking for a quick fix to a problem with this product but it didn't work. I think the floors don't lend themselves to a quick fix and need professional repairs. In my case there may be one night due to the fault of the product.

The creaking is back immediately

Our apartment is like an old ship on the high seas with its many creaks and creaks. My husband worked very hard to fill in the gaps between the wooden floorboards and at first we were very excited about the result. The floor was mostly still for a couple of days (which tells me he applied it correctly), but then we noticed a creak here and there and thought we could handle a few creaks if needed. But now it's been about 2-3 weeks and we're back to where we started. I do not recommend this…

Certainly part of the solution.

Different techniques are needed on old oak floors. When approaching them from below, it's best to tap the glued pads between the floor joists and the squeaky boards. If you can't do that, breakaway screws will work, but you have to hit the beam and hiding the screw hole is tricky. But neither method fixes every creaking. This stuff is a big help. It takes a little while, but gives good, imperceptible results. However, note that this only works in places where there are gaps between your boards.

Try it! This can seriously work on your squeaky floors.

I was hoping for a miracle with this product. This definitely helped and even completely eliminated the creaking in some places, but not everywhere. I don't have much room in my fields to even enter a product. They must have spaces! My floor is over 80 years old so it squeaks a lot, is soft etc. but you still need to have places to insert the product. Here's what I do now: apply this product. Wait half a day and check. If that doesn't work, use breakaway screws with this product. There were…

Worth a Try - Household Goods

I'd like to say straight away that this isn't a silver bullet; There are some squeaks it may not be able to handle. Probably because the liquid cannot be injected exactly where it is needed. However, I find that it works about 80% of the time and the bottle is large enough to be used in many places. I'm renovating an old house with a lot of squeaky floors and this stuff is really impressive. Not just because it works (seriously, you should have heard about this house beforehand, it was crazy…
