I spent half an hour blocking it! A second after putting it back in the box to return but read the instructions a fourth time and realized you pressed the button to latch instead of using the lock button on the side. Worked well enough but was on the expensive side!

This sealant differed from another sealant (same brand) we had in that it has sealant tabs on both sides which have to be pushed down until the lid closes is. not the single lever lock on our previous sealer. My wife was unable to generate downforce to properly close the lid so this sealant was returned unused.

When I first used this product protection machine, the right side of the cover was not fixed. You need to use a lot of force to push the cover to the right side for the machine to work. You can only spot the side locks by looking at the button on the right. The left side snaps into place and makes a click when locked, but the right side doesn't. This food preservation machine seals and vacuums very slowly when working properly. Don't buy this car.

My old FoodSaver V3230 worked for about 6 years. It was noisy, unruly, not always reliable - vacuum bags were wasted and cumbersome to use and clean. Vacuuming this seal is not good at all. It sucks, but it's like being on a timer. I noticed that it doesn't suck out all the air.
