🏠 Ford HOUSING 9L3Z-9927936-B Review

Unlike the other non-OEM gas housings, this one fits my 2013 F-150 Platinum perfectly. However, it shares the same design flaw as the original, which is that the post can slip out of the hole. I "improved" this by applying the flat edge of a heated knife blade to the protruding handle at the end to smooth it out and prevent the pen from slipping out again. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

It crackled very loudly every time it was opened and closed, from the very first time. straight out of the OEM box. Was not of the same quality as the original Ford part. It came in a Ford box and was supposed to be OEM. Either the OEM parts are made about 5% more than the originals, or it was a counterfeit part. She lasted less than a month after only opening and closing a few times (since she was clapping and catching so hard) with great care and ease.

Ford 9L3Z-9927936-B - BODY The original factory part failed on my truck after having owned the car for just over 6 years. I bought a replacement and it failed in less than three weeks. I've ordered this again and this time - fingers crossed it lasted just over two months. Apparently this device is defective from the factory. Aesthetically such an important truck door is showing its age so they should really work on it but the seller was quick, the price was only a penny more than the June part…
