Description of πŸ’¨ Foredom High-Speed Rotary Micromotor Kit - K.1070

Foredom K.1070 includes control box, handpiece with 3/32" collet, variable speed foot control, handpiece cradle, spare pair of motor brushes, spare fuse and collet changing wrenches. Operates up to 38,000 RPMs and runs on 115 or 230 volts. Handpiece is interchangable for different jobs. This Kit is already set for 110-115 Volt use. The control converts AC current to DC current required for the handpiece. Compared to flexible shaft machines, micromotors have less torque, however, their higher speed results in a comparable rate of material removal with a lighter touch.

Worth every penny.

Love it! Lightweight but powerful. My jewelry teacher suggested it to me as she used it herself and was very happy with its performance.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Crumpled

Best rotary tool I've had in 30 years of craftsmanship

This is a well made and handy hand tool, not junk. It's quiet and easy to switch. If you're tired of fighting flex shafts on your dremels, spend your money. It's worth it. BTW I use it for stone carving/polishing.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • A dubious purchase for the elderly

Attention buyers

I expected a better product from Foredom. This kit has some really annoying and expensive downsides. I have worked with other micro machines and this brand was the worst I have come across. This has mainly to do with the grip. First, the kit only comes with a 3/32 collet. A lot of the basic bits I want to use are 1/8" which meant I had to pay more money straight away just to be able to use the machine. Also, the tip is designed in such a way that the front of the tip must be disassembled to…

  • practical article
