I was looking for a glass jug for cooling loose tea and decided to end my search there. They envisioned it being used with loose tea and it has a fine mesh filter to keep the leaves out of my cup which bodes well. I've used it for one batch so far and am really disappointed with how it pours. I spent a few hours looking for a glass jar with a lid that I could pour boiling water into without breaking it. So many other reviewers have complained about this. This pitcher is made for hot or cold steeping, so I was able to pour in freshly boiled water (with a tablespoon of honey) along with two tea bags.
