The higher you raise the sections, the weaker the tripod becomes. Also, it's too heavy, so don't place it next to anything that can easily topple it over.

Racks hold HTC Vive Beacons as advertised. Greatly improved my virtual reality experience. I no longer have people randomly standing in front of or walking past beacons and causing headset problems.

The tripod is a bit flimsy the higher you raise the sections. It's also very heavy, so don't put it next to something that could easily knock it over.

I bought these because I didn't want to put HTC Vive lightboxes on the walls. At first I didn't have much space and wanted to try it without bricking up or tearing down my walls. It took me a second to straighten the legs and figure out how to extend the base so it didn't extend past the legs and make them wobble, but once I did it worked great. The light boxes are screwed and I was able to stabilize and adjust them without any problems.
