Saves my photos from shaky hands!

Once we figure out how it works on the Nikon D3400 it's GREAT. Just go to the timer menu, it's the little button under the joystick, select the little remote icon and that's it. You can also select a 2 second delay using the remote control. You really need to use it from the front of the camera or from the right side (rear) and place the remote far enough forward to "talk" to the infrared sensor located in the top third of the grip. I never knew how my hands were shaking until I started…

Pros
  • Eliminates vibration caused by physically pressing the shutter button.
Cons
  • Expensive

Please check camera restrictions before purchasing.

This is probably ideal if you're always the subject of a photo, as it requires a direct line of sight to the IR port on the camera, which is to the right of the front of the camera - it works great in those situations. If you tilt a little to the side, you may have intermittent results - this seems to require you to be almost 100% in front of the camera. If, like me, you're trying to capture images of birds flying for peanuts right outside your kitchen window, and your pandemic "office" is to…

Lifebuoy for Nikon D3300

Works great! I saved lives during my college class photo shoots where I had to take some photos of myself and my family for a collage project (adult student here folks). Anyway, I used the on-camera timer for some shots, but the self-timer just didn't work for family photos. So I decided to investigate the remote control available for my camera. The famous brand (Nikon) was expensive, but this device was affordable and other photographers who bought it reported no problems! As soon as I got it…

Pros
  • Wireless Shutter - Remote camera trigger
Cons
  • Some bugs
