I'm sure it would be a great part if it could fit my tripod. I have a Velbon CX680 and it does NOT fit. They didn't say it, so for me it was like a shot in the dark. It's my fault. However, I would like to point out that the device I received is different from the one in the photo. The lower part is made of metal. That's all!

I lost my RevainBasics tripod mount and found a new one on Amazon. Bought for the same amazonbasics tripod (just had to file it down a bit to fit). So I bought it and it fits perfectly. I didn't have to file it, it fits a bit, but I like it knowing my camera will stay in place.

I was very concerned if it would fit. I found a Best Buy brand Dynex tripod from a lost camcorder. Unfortunately, the quick-release plate must have been in the camera. The tripod was never used and it was a really good item. The ratings and descriptions made me nervous. I measured my tripod and dared. It fits just right and has saved me from having to replace an entire tripod that has hardly been used.

Bought the Dynex DX-TRP60 at a garage sale for $3, was missing this part to complete a 60 inch stand. Revane referenced this detail but did not mention that it was made for Dynex or found any reviews. Wanted to report a slight change with sandpaper on the E/W guides (120 grit, about 1/32 removed, see photo where fingers touch plastic). I bought this and Qb-4w universal quick release plate to replace Velbon Cx-444 Cx-888 Cx-460 Cx-460mini Cx-470 Cx-570 Cx-690 Df-50 Sony Vct - d580rm Vct-d680rm Vct-r640 at the same time. The other model was a bit cheaper but I wasn't sure if it worked. I was hoping both would work and I would keep them both. Unfortunately it was so tight that I couldn't hold it. I will send it back and either buy another one of the ones tested or try a third model.
