Cheap price but pretty good quality

I've had the adapter for a few months now and am very happy with it. Looking at some of the other reviews I can say that I've never had a problem with the adapter losing connection between the lens and the camera. The aperture setting on my EF 24-105mm L worked flawlessly and consistently. Build quality is generally what I need. It doesn't seem too cheap and I'm not worried about my lens. It should be noted that the autofocus sucks. It works, but if you really need autofocus I'd recommend just…

Some internal highlights so I painted the inside of the cutout matte black.

Good autofocus on a Sony A7Rii with 3 of 4 Canon L full frame lenses (35mm F1.4, 24-70 F2.8 and 24-105 F4.0). IMHO, glare is noticeable at times due to the internal glossy black plastic construction. There may be a slight decrease in contrast due to internal glare. My solution was to CAREFULLY mask the adapter, paying special attention to protecting the pins, and paint the inside of the adapter with an oil-based matte black paint. I am posting images taken with Sony Sonnar 35mm F2.8 at F2. 8…

New Champion: Accessories

I have to say that this adapter completely throws my Metabones adapters into the drawer! When used with my Sony A7R2 and A72, autofocus is exponentially faster and more accurate with my Canon EF 100-400 F4 IS II, Canon EF 70-200 F2.8 IS II and several of my EF lenses. Even when using the EF teleconverter (which has always amazed my Metabones adapters). In terms of processing quality/technology, Fotodiox is perhaps a little better than Metabones. Fotodiox fits exactly into every lens and camera…

Everything worked great at first, but problems soon arose

Everything worked great at first, but problems soon arose. I have to contact the manufacturer because now almost every time I use it I get problems with the aperture control or shutter control or whatever and have to restart the camera until it decides to work. I already knew that autofocus would be practically useless. Since most of these adapters don't have good autofocus speed, even the Metabones won't work and is 4 times more expensive. Although I work with a camera and don't need autofocus

Complex from Sony?

Breaking contacts. If some functions that should work do not work, try attaching and detaching the lens several times. Otherwise a pretty solid piece. Update: I suspect that the problem is not with the contacts but with the Sony software. I'm having the exact same problem and even worse with the Metabones Version IV adapter. I have to turn off the camera (FS5), remove the battery, insert the lens, insert the battery, then turn on the device and wait for the picture to be taken (may take 30…

Does what it's supposed to do, but it's extremely unreliable

Does what it's supposed to, but it's extremely unreliable. I had high hopes for this Fotodiox EF-Sny(E) Fusion Smart AF Lens Mount Adapter, Canon EOS EF Lens, EF-S Lens for Sony NEX Alpha E-mount APSC Camera and Full Frame, but unfortunately it just doesn't offer me, what I want. I read all the bad reviews about the slow autofocus and expected this, but there are a number of other issues I run into when using an adapter. For further reference, I use this adapter on my Sony A7 camera. I'll do my
