💧 Enhanced 2.5 Liter Hydration Bladder by Fox Outdoor Review

If you have the Fox Hydration Pack, this is the best way to go. I find its durability to be superior to most other bladders, or at least it's there for my use. I've burst the bubbles of several other brands while considering this normal use, but the Fox has held out. I have a pair that are still going strong after 2+ years of use and frequent cleaning.

This does not work well with Allen Company's Summit Ultra-Lite Humidification Pack! You need to change the packaging to make it work properly. I don't like the gas cap either. I would have preferred a smaller top filler. Another nice feature would be something to tuck in to open the pouch wide while drying. I stuffed items into the bag to make sure all the cracks had dried properly. A huge gas cap came in handy for that.

I must have been lucky. My bladder doesn't leak, although I have to say the taste of rubber is there. I "borrowed" some plastic hooks from another bladder system that go very well with this hydrator. the black fabric around the hose looks nice and keeps you warm in the cold. I ordered a 2.5L reservoir with a Fox Field Operators backpack I ordered a few weeks ago. Both worked great together. The backpack has straps specially designed for this bladder. The bite valve took a little getting used to at first, but after a while I never missed a step on the hike and wasted time scooping up a water bottle. I got used to it very quickly. So it works like a bubble as advertised. However, all the water I drink from it has a rather rubbery taste. the same smell/taste as an inflatable paddling pool. It's been over a year and I've refilled it multiple times (over 10) and I can still taste it, even with the flavor mixed in. I've never had a problem with hose leaks.
