For the price, the product is not bad at all. BUT when you use it with loose tea as intended, more tea stays at the bottom of the cup than anywhere else because it doesn't seal very well. And after several pushes of the button open and closed, the mechanism shifts slightly and the two hemispheres are slightly offset, making it even more difficult to keep the tea in the pot.

This type of brewer is the perfect size for a cup of tea. While it may be too small for large mugs, it is perfect for the mugs that come with a medium sized dinnerware/china. The best thing about this brewer is the latch that prevents the tea leaves from slipping between the two sides of the device. Loading the spoon carefully where it's rounded produces a decent cup of tea up to about 10 ounces. However, if you like very strong tea, this might not be for you.

Got one of these in a subscription box and am very happy with it. I find it at least as good as any other tea infuser of this type that I have tried. I no longer have loose tea at the bottom of my cup when I use it. It is important to ensure that all of the tea leaves are inside the mesh "cup" and not touching the rim where it closes, otherwise you will not get a proper seal and the leaves could end up being left in your drink.
