Our 11 year old daughter needed a black skirt for a drama she was in. Because of her height and thinness, she often finds it difficult to find long enough/modest skirts. This medium size is PERFECT. The length is great, as is the waist. Although slim, this skirt is flared to fit those with slightly larger waists. What worried me was that it would fall, but it doesn't. oh my god! We are very happy with this skirt! In fact, we needed it for the school play, and all the other girls wore larger dresses and could buy them at Wal-Mart. We looked everywhere and finally it hit me, yes! - Revan! It arrived very quickly and my little 9 year old size 7/8 tried it on and I LOVE IT! It lay very nice and smooth with no weird stitching like some of the things I ordered. It's very soft and flows well. It's not a very thick fabric, but I don't think you need it for this type
