Very light fabric. I have a 37-38" waist and after reading the reviews I ordered the medium. It was the right choice as they are not too baggy.

They hang out a bit downstairs and climb up their legs in the middle of the night. Still better than before and better than the two pairs I bought from 32 degrees. They are much wider at the bottom and I have to sew and narrow them together.
