Fujifilm FinePix XP150 Digital Camera (Black): Rugged and Waterproof Photography Companion Review

I like this camera. It has great specs and takes great shots for its size. On the plus side, Fujifilm is a pleasure to work with.

The first time I took it underwater it didn't work. I followed all the instructions and the seals weren't watertight. I only went 6 feet underwater.

Just got back from our Bermuda cruise where we used this camera in the pool and ocean! The kids also made use of the video feature while going down the water slides! Perfect for underwater photography! I love it but my kids love it even more!

This camera was amazing until it leaked, now it's not good anymore! The instructions were carefully followed, there was no user error and the product did not work! Also killed my 32GB SD card! In less than 6 months of use, the camera has never broken or failed! Do not submerge this camera in water! my two cents I'm curious to see if Fuji replaces or repairs.

So far so good, but it has a confusing "silent mode" that disables the flash and beeps. There is also a way to just turn off the beeps and clicks but have them blink. My interior shots with him were good enough, but not very good. Still hoping to get a good backdrop with him on my upcoming trip to see some natural wonders.

After reading the reviews I was a bit hesitant to purchase this item, some people seem to have had issues with the camera not being waterproof as advertised. I have NOT encountered this problem. I found the camera to be everything advertised and more. I love this camera. It stayed waterproof and worked great! The battery life also proved to be sufficient and a little longer than expected. Took it on two beach vacations and am disappointed. I have to be careful not to shake too much underwater or the water might seep out. And that's hard to do when you're trying to swim. A number of photos are already ruined as the water got in and we didn't go deep at all. The SD card started working again after drying out. But I wouldn't risk putting an expensive SD card in this camera. Even with the camera running I can tell that it's a little wet inside where the battery/memory card is…
