Description of 📷 Fujifilm X-T30 Black Mirrorless Digital Camera - Body Only: A Comprehensive Review

Advanced Image Sensor Technology: The 26.1MP BSI APS-C X-Trans CMOS 4 image sensor and X-Processor 4 quad-core CPU combination provide accurate AF and Face Detection for moving subjects when capturing either high-resolution stills or recording 4K video. Accurate Auto-Focus Tracking and Face Detection: he new X-Processor 4 Quad Core-CPU offers fast and accurate face-detection for moving people. Additionally, eye-detection AF now works in AF-C mode, which results in accurate focus-tracking for moving portrait subjects. The low-light limit for phase detection AF has been expanded even more from the conventional +0.5EV to -3EV, to allow for operation in a wide range of lighting scenarios. Superior video and image effects: The ex-t30 offers the ability to record 4K video at 30 frames per second or capture of 120 frames per second at 1080P to create super slow motion effects. Filmmakers needing extreme color fidelity can record 10-bit, 4: 2: 2 Color through the camera’s HDMI port. Intuitive Design with Comfortable Controls: Offers 3. 0-inch touch LCD with 2-way tilting and improved touch screen to capture images efficiently in challenging situations. Provides advanced SR Auto mode - easily activated with a lever - to automatically choose the optimum shooting settings for a given scene out of the 58 presets. Next-Gen Wireless Connectivity: Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth V.4.2 offer digital communication with the free FUJIFILM Camera Remote app to wirelessly control the camera or share images to smart devices.

I did not regret the purchase, everything is fine.

I changed the entire system in 2022 (there was a Canon), mainly due to the size, weight, availability of inexpensive good lenses. Very pleased with the choice of optics. I didn’t choose the carcass very well, now I understand that it was necessary to take the X-T3. Nevertheless, it does its job, and for those who want a miniature camera with all the stuffing, the T30 is better than the T3/T4. Disadvantages relate mainly to video, ie. to a secondary function. In terms of photography, no…

Pros
  • 0) There are all the functions demanded by the photographer. 1) Excellent (customizable) color reproduction. 2) Lightweight, durable, perfectly designed (classic angular) case. 3) There are inexpensive good lenses for it. Good even by Nikon/Canon $1000+ standards. In terms of price / quality optics, it seems to me that Fujifilm is the best system.
Cons
  • they are not that very significant, but I will write for those to whom these functions are important: 1) Some features (eg tethering) are artificially cut off in the firmware. When shooting a video, you need to approach the camera every 15 minutes and resume recording by pressing the button. There is no alternative firmware that removes this limitation (unlike the X-T3). 2) After the DSLR, it simply kills the electric gluttony, but this is a minus of all mirrorless cameras, and not specifically this one. 3) The HDMI and USB connectors are so close that it is impossible to insert cables into them at the same time, and other video capture methods, except via hdmi, do not work. Since this function consumes a decent amount of power, to use hdmi you will also need an external power adapter (inserted instead of a battery). 4) Short unstable software for Windows. In fact, there is only the ability to transfer already captured frames over the air (and it is inconvenient to use this) and save / load the camera configuration. Remote control is only for Android. Alternative software is paid, poorly supported, and I don’t want to try it, since officially the X-T30 is not on the list of compatible models. 5) The camera is too small, with heavy optics it is inconvenient to hold in your hand. 6) USB-C charging is not compatible with some features, ie. sometimes it is not possible to charge and work at the same time.

The right product for me, there were no problems.

Previously, I shot on the X-A2 and needed a camera with similar weight and size characteristics. And since there was already a certain park of optics, the choice fell on the X-T30. I compared X-A2 (iso 6400) and X-T30 (iso 12800) in terms of noise at the same shutter speeds with one lens. The X-T30 just ripped apart the X-A2. Now for me there are no restrictions on where and at what time to shoot, earlier for me even home lighting was a problem in terms of noise. I shoot only in RAF and one…

Pros
  • The pluses of course include compactness, lightness, excellent photo quality, charging from usb without the need to remove the battery
Cons
  • Sometimes I accidentally press the Q button and when viewing photos, the sensor for switching to the viewfinder is constantly triggered (if you do not turn it off in advance) There was an incomprehensible glitch: on the street at night at near zero temperature in pitch darkness, the screen seems to switch to ultra-high iso (only the screen, i. E. the frames themselves are in order), but the frame itself, when viewed on a PC, looks fine. I don’t know what it is, maybe the settings, but at home in normal temperature conditions, having locked myself in the toilet in pitch darkness, I could not achieve the same effect. According to the specification, the operating temperature range is from zero degrees, and if it behaves the same way, then in winter it will no longer be possible to shoot (for me this is a minus, because I love street photography). But I repeat, all this is not a fact, but only observations, and perhaps I am wrong in my conclusions.

I do not cease to rejoice at the purchase, a very good deal!

I am not a fan of the theory that a full frame solves all the problems of a photographer, rather straight arms and a modern (+-5 years from the date of retail entry) camera. Therefore, I decided on a mirrorless camera, on a different system, with a new fleet of optics. The ratio of costs / quality + emotions is just excellent! Now you can shoot high-quality video, though I have nothing to render it on! xD I was looking for something that would please the soul, would be relevant for the next…

Pros
  • For numbers and technical aspects, read other reviews, thanks! :) - The camera is cool, I have Charcoal so that it doesn’t get too hot in my hands. - This little one is just space, after the Canon 100D it is also small, but obsolete. As if moved from a car of the 90s, to a modern one almost completely minced.
Cons
  • - I don’t know yet, I don’t like that the plastic plug for fastening the shoe flies out. But this is not about the camera, after all, but about the stub. - The control buttons on the joystick were cut, but I myself did not pay extra for the X-T3, and this is not critical at all. - Small size, small control buttons can, but only for users with large hands and thick fingers. I don't find any problems with this myself. - You can see for yourself, the cons are "sucked from the finger."

Im amazed! It was definitely worth the money!

For your money - fire, not a camera. T20 was farther from T2 in terms of pictures due to the lower bitrate in FHD. The T30 is no different from the T3 in the picture, in terms of functionality it has approached the flagship, and in terms of ergonomics it has moved away. For reporting, I recommend it as a second camera. You can safely take it as the main one for advertising and other staged shooting.

Pros
  • I spent a month on the test, I share my feelings with videographers: 1) All the pluses and merits of T3 are here, only missing: moisture protection, bitrate 400 Mbps, HLG, All Intra, 4K 50 and 60 fps, ISO wheel and some buttons. 2) Cool picture. 3) It's great that they left DR400, f-log and Eterna. 4) Af works very well - you can rely on him. But you need to know in which scenes what settings to set. 5) Very clear and bright screen. With focus peaking, you won't miss at all. 6) There is a zebra and timecode.
Cons
  • 1) Its main disadvantage is a very sensitive screen, and many commands are configured on swipes, you can involuntarily turn on this or that function, change bb, etc. 2) Input for a microphone jack 2.5, an adapter for jack 3.5 is required. 3) Headphone input via usb Type-C adapter. 4) The built-in microphones are located in front of the lens (you will hear aperture clicks and the operation of the lens motors). 5) The q button is very easy to press, but with the new firmware it can be reassigned to another button. 6) Short continuous video recording time: 4K 15 minutes, FHD 10 minutes.

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

Overall, a good camera for the money. Gorgeous in-camera processing when shooting in JPG, post-processing is practically not required (I shoot in RAW only in some cases). Problems with the touchscreen are solved by the corresponding settings in the menu. Decent flash (although I used it a couple of times in all the time) - the faces do not look flat. Pleased with the presence of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. After pairing with the phone, geo-tags are added to the images + you can immediately throw off…

Pros
  • - Excellent picture quality with a good lens - Built-in image processing profiles - Bulb up to 15 minutes - Metal case - All necessary controls on the body - Almost all buttons on the case can be reprogrammed to suit your needs. - F-log and 200Mbps video
Cons
  • - No matrix stabilizer - Some parts of the body are still plastic and this is noticeable after some time of use - Battery could be bigger - Some questions about the joystick and the Q button, which can be accidentally pressed - Not very comfortable grip when using heavy lenses
