You really do get what you pay for here. The photo looks very nice, but the quality is poor. There are no assembly instructions, the edges are poorly wrapped, the glue looks dirty, there are black spots all over the place that won't come off, making it permanently dirty, the screws on the sides aren't recessed, so the stickers that barely stick cover the screws, bubble. If I paid more than $22 I would be angry. Spend $10 more and get a better item from Target.

People giving this bookcase bad reviews - what do you expect for under $20? It's small? Yes. Is this the size stated in the description? Also yes. If you're looking for something more, buy something more. It is made of chipboard with cardboard backing. Again less than $20. No, no assembly tool is included, but unless you have a hammer and Phillips screwdriver, it's best to stay away from flat furniture. I assembled a bookshelf and that's exactly what I got.

I love that you can snap them together with the blue side inside or outside. We have two and have done every trail. They are great for small items. I needed a compact bookcase that would fit on a regular bookcase and found it perfect! Relatively easy to assemble as long as there are no breaks. The instructions are poorly translated into English, which is pretty common when shopping in foreign languages. I bought the blue one which makes my plants stand out beautifully. I had about 12" wide space to fill where I used thin shelves to store books and binders. I bought it to replace those locker shelves. The construction took about 10 minutes (and then with interruptions). The hardest part was tilting it to get where I needed it as I have a small table that is at an odd angle making it difficult to fit in the space. It arrived well packaged so nothing was damaged and looks just as good as similar items from Walmart/Target which are usually a bit more expensive.
