Beware of price fluctuations

I love this surge protector/power conditioner. Complete silence with connected devices. However, I bought it for $55 and wouldn't recommend paying the current price of $79.

Pros
  • Like everyone else
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

If you have a $3,000+ computer, don't use a cheap power supply.

The EVS (Extreme Voltage Shutdown) feature of the device is far superior to available alternatives. Check out YouTube videos showing how these devices work. It's shocking what passes for "surge protection". EVS actually isolates equipment from the source of the surge. This is my third Furman and I will be back for more. My Furman PL rack unit has already saved me from overvoltage in a large apartment building. The thing is very cheap in comparison and has the same technology. It is not easy.

Pros
  • Amazing
Cons
  • No automatic

I have always used quality surge protectors for my critical electrical equipment. But I got hiss in my tube amps. It wasn't that bad sitting on the side, but up close, and especially when I plugged a mic into my amp, it was awful. It can be anything, my fridge, turntable, stereo, fan. Some connectors are better than others, but I can only isolate some of them. I first looked at a more expensive voltage regulator, but concluded that maybe it's not worth betting on perfection. Given that the…

Pros
  • Rugged construction
Cons
  • Soundproofing

I was looking for a new power strip with surge and under voltage protection after realizing that most surge protectors only protect against surges. I previously bought a Tripp Lite extension cord because of all the rave 5 star reviews and at first didn't trust my intuition for an upgraded model of my existing Furman SS-6B. I notice very small details that most people probably overlook and immediately noticed a faint buzz coming from the new Tripp-Lite I just bought! I didn't notice, but my old…

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
