Of course you may find it difficult to get the loop through your pants at first, but it is strong and certainly stiff enough to hold my gun firmly to my body with both IWB and OWB. And the Velcro adjusts quickly when you're wearing an IWB and need to tighten or loosen. After all, it's very hard. I've broken a lot of risers, but I don't think I'll break this one anytime soon. Definitely my favorite belt! I am a firefighter and I use this belt at work. This belt is the best, especially at night when I need to get dressed quickly. I haven't tested the rigging loop and probably won't be able to either.
