Just received this belt. I actually use it as an EDC belt (for everyday use). I have gone through these leather straps about 1 time per year (hence changing the strap every year) because the leather tends to split. This belt appears to be of excellent quality. I love how quickly the buckle can be closed itself and the edges don't touch my stomach (like my last standard square belt buckle). Ever since I've been in the Navy I've been looking for a non-combat woven belt that can go through a regular loop on jeans, khakis or cargo pants and it works great. Once you have the size you want, simply attach the Velcro. You should probably order one size smaller than usual. I ordered a large (38"-43") and an "extra" belt 1/2 around me, almost above my back pocket. The only downside I have is that the belt buckle is larger than your standard belt loops so you can't just slide the belt in/out of the loops as the buckle is in two parts. But when you put the belt on, it snaps into place quickly and easily, so it only takes a few extra seconds, and if you wear the same pair of pants for days (guys can do that), you still won't take the belt off and put it back on.
