I was very surprised by this product as I expected the material to be flimsy cardboard. I was impressed with the solid wood and how quickly it was assembled. In the end I decided not to attach the hammock at the top, instead placing a piece with a small hole there. Rabbits will use it, so leaving the bottom open makes cleaning easier. For the quality and the time it took to make it the price is amazing.

This took 20 minutes or less. I was a bit taken aback at first, but then after playing with the pieces for 5 minutes I realized which pieces go first and where to put them. Not sure why other reviews complained that it took half an hour or an hour and it was very easy to put together. The small white clips that attach to the top after screwing in the screws don't come off well and are a potential hazard to pets. I had to throw them away after realizing they had fallen off and my pet was chewing

The cat likes the cube and is cute. There were quite a few pieces to assemble, but I was prepared and it wasn't that difficult to put together. It's sturdy for a cat, but I didn't expect it to hold as much weight as kids trying to climb on it. The pillow is thin but it didn't bother me too much as my cat likes to sleep on top. Finally an extra part! There is a hole in the plate, this can be the floor, which doesn't work as a floor, because then the cat will fall through the hole while sleeping.

It's not a terrible cat cube but definitely not my favorite. Let's start with the good - this cube is solid and the materials used for the frame appear to be of good quality; I expect it to last a lot longer than many of my other cardboard, sisal, and carpet cubes. 1: It really should be bought with a second box due to the stupid design of the bottom panel. The bottom plate has a hole big enough for the cat to fit through. It's okay if it's the top drawer so the cat can go in the top or bottom drawer. HOWEVER this is ugly if it is a base plate with a pillow as any pillow will fall through the hole.
