If you want an accurate pedometer, you won't get it.

The pedometer is inaccurate to say the least. I wore my Garmin Vivo Active on the same wrist all day and took about 25% more steps with the G-Shock. Garmin is accurate and I have calibrated it so I know it is correct. I really like the look and profile of the G-Shock, but if you're buying it for counting steps, it's not worth the money.

Hard to find G-Shock

This new G-Shock GBX100-7 is very hard to find on many online exchange listings, even the G-Shock website. I was lucky enough to finally find it here and bought it at the suggested retail price instead of paying double like I did on Ebay. The watch is very stylish, functional and easy to set up without using the G-Shock Move app. The Bluetooth connection does an excellent job of alerting me to incoming calls and text messages. This G-Shock is a great addition to my extensive G-Shock collection…

Great watch features

The watch display is a bit small but the data programmable options available are fantastic. I needed the tides and moon phases for a goal that wasn't programmed into the watch. I downloaded the app and was able to pair the watch to my iPhone through the app and personalize the relevant data for my specific location in Louisiana. The time is automatically updated to my time zone even after programming via the app. If you follow the online programming instructions provided and take your time, all

Ease of use and comfort

I do NOT consider this watch a smartwatch. I don't use it for step counting and I don't use it to get messages from my phone, so I don't appreciate these smart features. I use it for the tide function and the usual chronological function (what time is it, stopwatch, etc.). It is very easy to add tide locations from the app via iPhone. I don't sync my watch with my phone. You can definitely just download tide locations and then turn off Bluetooth. I haven't had to reset the tide function since I

Excellent Bluetooth gshock

Just unpacked today. This is my first G-Shock in 15 years. I don't normally do digital stuff, but it's something of a semi-smart watch. Are there vibrate notifications and that's great. The perfect feeling for me. It's just enough weight to let you know that it's fairly stiff while still feeling light on the wrist. The tape is soft and flexible. It just feels good. Also, you can't just click a button to read messages. You need to go to the notification screen and then select from there. Super…
