Professional service, arrival As described

The installation was a bit unusual for me, the metal housing around the stick felt a bit loose. Just don't press the ends and everything seems fine, overall it seems fine, no memory issues so far. Computers are much faster.

Pros
  • Chipset Intel Z170 platform, color black, heatspreader Yes
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Excellent RAM, especially. priced at

Pros: Great price for PlugNPlay 64GB at 3200MHz with solid timingsRan great OOTB @2133 and then @3200 once I added XMP timings have. My AsRock The Extreme4 board supposedly only supports 3000MHz or less, but it ran at a full 3200MHz and still achieved amazing throughput on the AIDA64 test (54GB/s read/write, 65GB/s copy, 68ns latency ). A: No, that comes to mind. General Rating: Excellent RAM. Highly recommended.

Pros
  • buffered/registered unbuffered, multi-channel kit dual-channel kit
Cons
  • boring package

Check for BIOS compatibility and updates.

Large capacity, good timings and fast RAM. Might be the Z170 PCH, but I had to first disable XMP in the BIOS, then uninstall my previous kit, then install, then reinstall XMP. Otherwise everything worked on my main machine right away. Just wanted to try it out before building the system they are intended for. Once I got to my other system, another story. The X99 PCH appeared to be running an old BIOS with no support for 16GB memory modules. I had to find an updated BIOS for the firmware in…

Pros
  • Cas Latency, 16 Timing 16-18-18-38
Cons
  • Good, but not great
