a solid ride on Shock absorber

They work fine on my 99ft Ford Ranger. What I particularly noticed was that cornering has improved greatly and I no longer notice any bumps. they are slightly better than monroe sensa-trac. I used this Gabriel Max Control before, I think now I have a stronger ride control

Pros
  • Shock absorber
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Top quality shock at a great price

The shocks are exactly as advertised, I bolted them on with no problem and the difference in my truck's movement is amazing. I liked that they were priced the same to me as the lower quality Gabriel shocks I could buy at my local auto shop!

Pros
  • Power Transmission Products
Cons
  • Expensive

I don't know if I got a defective set or not but these dampeners did not improve the ride quality I was already having. The old shocks had 300,000 miles on them and the new Gabriel shocks ride just like my old shocks. I haven't taken them off yet, but I think they need to be changed. The day I first put them on I cruised the block more calmly, thinking they would do me good, but those shocks quickly let me down on my way to work the next day.

Pros
  • Vibration and shock dampening
Cons
  • I will add later
