The instruction is terrible. I was willing to return this remote because I couldn't connect it. As a last resort, I checked YouTube and found a tutorial video showing how to do it. It's very simple, but not in the way you think. Use the Tello app to pair.

This controller is vital. DO NOT attempt to connect it by following the instructions in the manual. Don't try to connect it to the Blu-tooth through the operating system. Just open the app, connect your Tello, click the tool cog, then select to connect your controller and follow the instructions. He does all this for you. I had fits with it until I looked it up on YouTube and did it like I said above. Dead easy.

I tried it on 5 different phones and it only worked on 2. On some old phones and some new ones, but it seemed random which phones it worked on. I was lucky with the old Samsung, but not with the newer one. No luck with Motorola. One iPhone worked, the other didn't. I've tried updates and searched for the app they recommend but had no luck there either. I'm going back and looking for another option. The remote control is needed, but not this one.

Works with Galaxy Note 8 You have to control the Tello. To connect, turn on Bluetooth on your phone, connect to Tello Wi-Fi and open the app. Then turn on the controller and in the Trello app navigate to the Bluetooth controller and click on it when it appears.
