Garmin Computer Accessories & Peripherals

The message your Garmin gives you when it's full says it must be a Garmin branded SD card. I received this Garmin branded card in the mail and it is a typical SanDisk card. I could get a larger 8GB card for less if I bought the Sandisk branding. Garmin wasn't impressed.

Pros
  • Stylish and Modern Design
Cons
  • Confused

Memory chip for Garmin GPS

Just the thing for being able to download the latest maps from Garmin. I needed more memory and it was easy to install. Received on time and well packaged. Thanks for posting as promised.

Cons
  • There are minuses

Works great with computers and accessories

Glad I read other comments from previous buyers so I know I need to open the case the card arrived in and then also open the card holder, otherwise In this case I would not have known that there were two holders for the card and I would have sent the goods back thinking I had ordered something the wrong size. In addition, it is perfect and the delivery was very fast.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model

Happy with memory cards

I have a Garmin nuvi 1490 and recently needed to update the map of the United States, but the data was too large for my nuvi 1490 so I bought this 4GB micro SD card (no Micro SD card, nüvi 1490 supports a region of USA map). No adapter is required for 1490, a microSD card is sufficient. I just plugged it into the GPS slot and then downloaded the maps from the Garmin nüvi website. This small device is great for expanding your card storage capacity. Using this card is very simple; The map can…

Essential memory card accessory

I bought a Garmin and didn't realize I was going to run out of memory. buy more memory. I've learned the hard way that most Garmins won't accept more than 4GB to 8GB of storage.

Garmin 4GB MicroSt with SD adapter

When I first got the GPS card it was huge! I'm like, how the hell does that fit together. in my sat nav. as you can see it was my first. this connects to your computer, you can add it there. Books. Music. or larger maps if your GPS doesn't have enough space. not needed yet, but my GPS is new. I have it so I don't lose it. You can update it. I just connected it to my GPS so it will download when I update the GPS lifetime maps.

Pros
  • Best in niche
Cons
  • I will add later

Don't pay too much! - Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I recently purchased a Garmin 4GB microSD card with SD adapter to update maps on my nüvi 2350. I paid about $21 total including shipping. I was surprised to receive this in the mail today, only to find that after removing the micro SD card from the adapter it is actually a SanDisk 4GB micro SD card. You can get the exact same Micro SD card from Sandisk right here at Revain for about $7.50! That's right, about 1/3 the cost! I'm giving this 3 stars because Garmin needs to be honest and make it…

I'm sure the chip is ok but all chips are ground.

Returned unopened. I'm sure the chip is fine, but that whole chip is a Garmin-branded, mass-market micro SD card. You can use any Micro SD chip for MUCH LESS MONEY. I'm having trouble loading a purchased card and after a dozen tries I ordered this chip. It was the weekend so I wasn't able to contact Garmin Customer Service until Monday morning. When I did that and explained my problem and the fact that I had ordered a Garmin chip to ensure the download would work, the support rep told me to…
