🛰️ Enhanced Garmin GA 38 GPS/GLONASS Signal Antenna Review

When I found out my Sounder version didn't have a built in antenna I bought it and it works great. The helpful folks at Garmin told me that it doesn't need to be mounted horizontally as long as it has a clear view of the sky. Has 3 different mounting options.

When I found out my version of Sounder didn't have a built in antenna I bought it and it works great. The helpful folks at Garmin told me that it doesn't need to be mounted horizontally as long as it has a clear view of the sky. Has 3 different mounting options.

Signal strength got very weak with my old tired antenna. I connected it to my GPSmap 215 (which is also old but still works great). This connected to a BNC connector and voila! The signal strength increases to 9-10 and it takes a minute (or less) to acquire the satellite.
