Description of πŸ”§ Gates 33958 Engine Coolant Thermostat: Integrated Housing for Efficient Temperature Control

It integrates design elements of both a thermostat and a water outlet. This allows for a simplified design since parts of the water outlet function as the thermostat flange. This also aids in installation because the orientation of the thermostat is fixed in place as the water outlet is bolted to the engine block. Gates - Driven By Possibility.

Excellent Hose for my Car!

Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice as an automotive engineer, I can say that this replacement coolant hose was an excellent fit for my car. It's well-made and sturdy, giving me peace of mind knowing my engine is well-protected. However, the only downside is that it wasn't the easiest to install, which may deter less experienced DIY mechanics. Overall, I highly recommend this hose for anyone in need of a reliable replacement part for their engine cooling system.

Pros
  • High-quality materials used in construction ensure durability and long-lasting performance
Cons
  • Updates

Failed less than 5,000 miles

Worked great until it broke and my truck overheated. The first clue should have been the description, it's not a coolant hose, it's a thermostat like in the picture.

I had a MotoRad for engine cooling and air conditioning

Very good statistics - it turned out to be a MotoRad (a German company) made in Israel. Very good fit and finish and I did a boiling water test just to be sure: opened a bit overrated but that's exactly what I wanted.

Pros
  • Thermostats
Cons
  • No instructions
