The leather is exactly the same as in 70's jeans - thick, uniform, one piece, no stitching, just a big, thick piece of leather that should last forever. I ordered this belt in my normal size and it has barely finished the first hole to attach it. That could have been fine, but it made the pattern off-center. Came back and ordered a size up. Ideal! The only slight disappointment I have left is that the blue is much darker than the picture or the first one I received. It's almost black! But nice belt!
