Love it! in Lamps and Shades

We bought these when we needed to replace our garage door opener and the new one didn't have motion detection. Very happy with the purchase! We liked it so much we bought a pair for Christmas gifts for family members.

  • Cool
Cons

Easy to set duration. Works perfectly.

Based on many product reviews, this is one of the few motion detection devices that offers a wide range of on-times with easy and precise adjustment controls. The perfect item for our garage, whether for walking or driving.

Pros
  • I'm crossing my fingers
Cons
  • I'm concerned about that

Finicky/Picky: Lights and ceiling fans

It does the job by turning on while driving but can be finicky, we have it in the garage and it doesn't turn on until we enter the garage and go down 3 steps on one side or when we are at the trunk of the car. It also doesn't light up when the car is driven into the garage, only after I open the car door. Finnish!

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Great for a creepy half finished basement

All basements are creepy. Looking for a chain in the dark to drive away ghosts with light is tedious. Combined with LED daylight, this motion detector adapter is a ghost killer. Just remember to set the timer to the maximum time so you don't get caught off guard by the darkness and accompanying ghosts.

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • The list will go on and on.

Works better than any other device I've ever used.

I have bought many different lamps and lamps with motion sensors and this one works the best. I have four kids who can't turn off the lights and I have this light controller in my basement. This product works flawlessly every time. It's also nice to be able to control how long the light stays on. I love it so much I will be buying a few more.

Pros
  • Quality finish
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

I have four old school basement lanterns with a chain.

I have four old school lamps with chain control in the basement. Thought I'd try this in the light outside of my laundry room. It works great! I'm using 75w LED bulbs and haven't heard any buzzing or problems. Every time I get to 15-18 feet, the light turns on automatically. I was able to set the duration and distance without any problems. I am impressed!

Pros
  • I'm looking forward to
Cons
  • That makes me angry

Mine has NEVER SEPARATED.

This interior light timer was easy to set up but didn't work at all. Regardless of the auto-off time set, the type or wattage of the bulb used (all of which were listed as required), or the utter visual stillness that surrounds this unit, my unit has never turned off. The device was brand new in full packaging but never worked as intended. A slight twist of the supposed time dial broke it inside the device. The light was just on all the time. I can't speak to other users' experiences, but…

Works well most of the time

I installed this sensor in my 2 car garage and connected it to a 1 to 5 socket adapter to turn on 1 CFL and four LED bulbs. Initially I had issues with poor sensitivity but I adjusted the knobs on the 5 pin adapter so they were out of the way and it helped. And I also found that rotating the sensor about 45 degrees from its original position also helped a lot for some reason. Now the sensor keeps turning on when I open the door between the garage and the house. It doesn't turn on when the…
