you suck suitable for incandescent lamps

The problem is that within 1 day of use, the highest and lowest settings no longer work. I buy 3 way bulbs for a reason so if only one setting works why bother? you suck

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Some difficulties

3-way bulb does not work.

3-way bulb, 50 - 100 - 150 watt bulb, but when you light it, it shines 50, then up to 100 watts and the bulb burns out. Very bad value!

Good price for bulbs

standard GE quality. I have been buying them for many years as I have the same lamps. I love these onions but the price here was better than my local pharmacy and supermarket.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other

Four out of eight lightbulbs did not work. I .

Four of the eight bulbs did not work. I see from other reviews that this is a regular problem. Due to an illness in the family I only had time to test them and the return window was closing.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Negative present

At least half were defective

At the moment it turns out that about half of the bulbs are defective. I can't tell if they were originally defective or damaged in transit. In any case, this will not be my source for future purchases.

Pros
  • Everything was fine!
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Simple 3-way bulbs that work

Not willing to spend enough to try LED 3-way bulbs. They're inexpensive and seem to be doing a great job so far. Used a cheaper brand (Sunbeam) with no problem until a newer batch started to go bad after a short while.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Not sure

Worst pears. JE.

These bulbs are beautiful and bright. About 3 days. Then they begin to fade. Dimmers, dimmers, dimmers. A 150 watt setup becomes a 40 watt setup. Then the bottom setting burns out. Absolutely terrible light. The WORST I've ever bought. Don't buy them, you will regret it. I am sure.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Appearance

They fit incandescent bulbs

Three-way bulbs are probably a thing of the past. But since I have several of these lamps, I decided to try them out. The price was right and delivery was quick. Unfortunately, the ones I have seem to have a short lifespan. They go from three to one light in about a month, but at least they still give good light.

Pros
  • Rated life: 1500 hours E26 socket
Cons
  • New competitors are here

A few lamps broke early.

Bulbs which work well and are very typical of most other brands. But I've had two that failed in just a few weeks. As where I use them they require a ladder to replace - if it blows out prematurely it's a real pain you know. I would have thought GE would do a better job with this, but I suspect they buy them from China and sell them under their own brand.

Pros
  • Soft WHITE 3 way bulbs Normal everyday light
Cons
  • I will add later

Incandescent bulbs were mostly phased out a few years ago, but we have an odd little cabin holiday that's pretty much a time capsule of the late 70's so I kept using them there to keep the retro vibe. Since it's empty most of the time and has electrical resistance, incandescent inefficiency isn't a problem anyway. Unfortunately, lightbulbs aren't what they used to be, even for prestigious brands like GE. It seems they have a problem with the quality of the connection between the lamp and the…
