Solid product with LED lights

Overall rating only four stars due to the tight fit on my hood. The lamps are about 1/8 inch longer than the original lamps, but there was just enough room to accommodate the subject. The brightness and energy efficiency is much better than the original halogen bulbs (which were also GE).

Pros
  • Moisture resistant rating
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Great light, slightly longer than halogen bulbs

Bulbs work well, slightly longer than older halogen bulbs, maybe 1/4 inch. This means it protrudes slightly on our range hood instead of sitting flush. Looking around, I can't find any other LED bulbs that are shorter. Ultimately, after a few days of use, it doesn't bother me.

Pros
  • Outdoor and indoor use
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Hood? look elsewhere

Definitely not ideal for a hood. Whiter, lighter, larger, and without the bulge at the end where the plumb bob would normally be. All of this is problematic to varying degrees. If you want to see every bit of dust and grease then they sure are great, but other than that they're tough. Also interesting, they don't turn on in my hood's dimming mode. My hood is dark and light. I have to turn light on and then quickly dim to use dim. And dark is lighter on these builds than light on the original…

Pros
  • 50W replacement using only 7W (500 lumens)
Cons
  • Not a car
