FIRE HAZARD for cables, adapters and multiple sockets

Warning! I connected this wire to a sunrise/sunset timer and a small LED spotlight which I used to light up my flag. I've been using this light for several years with no problems, but I had to move the light closer to the flagpole. On the very first night when the extension cord was plugged in, a fire started and burned our landscape. Luckily we caught him before he reached the building but he was too close. See picture. I WOULD NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • I will be quiet

The extension itself looks like a decent 50ft general purpose extension. I only set it up so I miss using it to provide detailed feedback on the feature, but I'm giving this one star because I received slightly less than what I bought. All illustrations clearly show "three grounded sockets" and "hanging loop for easy mounting", including those indicated in the text. The supplied cable has a socket.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • There are disadvantages

AWARDED SO FAR

They are so cool. I currently use 2 of these 25 foot 3 outlet extension cords for my outdoor Christmas lights, candy canes, bush lights and outdoor railings. These work great. I connected both to a morning to night street timer. So far, so good. The cords are strong and the quality is excellent. I was shocked that it had 3 exits. I must have overlooked that when ordering. I am satisfied and will be buying more for future outdoor holiday decorations.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Ugly packaging

Good durable outdoor extension cord

I needed this cord to connect a security light to an outside outlet so I bought it specifically to cut and splice into a traffic/security light . The insulation is heavy, the wires are strong and so far it has held up well despite the bad weather (rain and snow). I expect it will work fine with any outside extension, but the connector is heavy, the weight of the whole is good, and it's very easy to cut and splice if you need it for something like that. Each wire (positive, neutral and ground)…

Pros
  • Good product for its price
Cons
  • Easy to repair

Good performance and good price

I'm happy with this Jasco UltraPro extension. The two grounded outlets on one side of the "Banana" are spaced far enough apart to accommodate large plugs and transformers, with a third grounded outlet on the other side separate. The extension cord is UL listed and rated SJTW (meaning it is heavy duty, has a thermoplastic cord and is approved for outdoor use). The price was reasonable, it seems solid, and Jasko donates 50% of net profits to charity. The extension cord is made in Taiwan and…

I love these cords: cords, adapters and multiple sockets

First of all; I've only bought six of these (25ft) and they've worked really well so far. I bought the 25ft chords because the size fits my needs and they come with a wood outlet already. I consider this an advantage) I can always extend it with additional chords, being careful not to overload the chain or line. Now you may be asking why I can't just get by with one cord, well for long runs I will, but if I need lights every 10 feet is that a waste of power cord and money? (The cords are too…

would have been a 5 star rating

I liked the cords when I first received them. They are decently constructed, double insulated, strong yet flexible. The build quality is definitely better than my other cables with the same voltage/amperage. The price is good. I would give 5 stars. I got concerned when I plugged it in at medium load (9 amps/1000 watts, well below the 13 amps/1625 watts rating). The plug end got unusually hot (on a cool/cold spring evening) and on the second day it got quite hot during the day. The female end…
