The Revain pages say the bulb is dimmable but I ordered a couple of these bulbs for dimmable lights in my new home and the bulb says 'not for dimmable lights'. Checking the lamps confirmed this.

The light emits a loud hum compared to other lights it claims to replace. Also, this lamp is called FLE15/2/R30 in the description, but it is actually FLE16/2/R30. It arrived well packaged and in good condition.

This light is very bright and burns at full power. The old lamp I had was about 50% for about 3 minutes which was annoying. Remember that this light is very yellow. Update: I've had this pear for a few weeks now. It now shines at about 25% and reaches full brightness in about 2-3 minutes. Changed to 2 stars as it works but it takes a while.

I wanted a greener alternative to traditional indoor heaters and bought 12 of them. My lights are recessed into 20 foot ceilings so I hired someone to install them. They work perfectly after about 1/4 hour, but at the same time give off a twilight light that is not safe even for walking down my stairs. I hope this technology improves before I hire my lamp installers again!
