GE Lighting 97493 30 Watt 100 Watt Review

So far so good - I live in an apartment under the main house, my living room is as underground as the house is built. So there are no windows in my living room. I burn 2 lights all day. It's great for the price. Lasts a long time, will buy more if needed. The prices are significantly lower than the retail prices!

I LOVE the 30w low light setting! Great for TV. I prefer 30-70-100 watts much more than the standard 50-100-150! This is hard to find in stores. I also like the color of this bulb [on the Kelvin scale]. Very well packed! I've never had a lightbulb that didn't work. I hope Revane keeps wearing them!

Waste of money. Do not buy. They burn out in a week or two, and the entire bulb burns out, not just one setting. I've never had pears that bad. Normally, if a setting is triggered while the other 2 remain activated, those 3 settings will activate at the same time, even if the others haven't been used. The latter was only operational for a few hours when it burned down. It was a waste of money. I would give them no stars if I could.

Bought 2 packs, 4 bulbs in total. Pack. looked brand new and was wrapped in bubble wrap, as far as I can tell it's not the seller's fault. I read all the reviews before ordering as three of my 3-way bulbs just don't work properly with the new LED bulbs. I checked hardware stores, Home Depot, Lowes etc as Revain didn't stock old style bulbs at the time. They are used, old, scratched and the white coating is almost completely gone AND THEY DON'T WORK! They go in the trash. My mistake.

These are crappy pears. Nothing against Hungarians, but they are all marked "Hungary" and "GE" - looking at the contacts from below they are irregularly shaped, bulb to bulb. Some work, but they quickly go from three takes to two to one, popping and dying and scaring you to death. That is really funny. We had these "Hungarian" lightbulbs my wife bought and they sucked so I went to Revain and bought some "quality GE lightbulbs" only to find out on closer inspection that the crappy 3 -Wege bulbs…

I buy these (hard to find) bulbs specifically for my 3 sided bedside reading lamp. I prefer this 30w bulb before bed while reading a book and can use my bedside lamp as an alternative stronger light during the other hours. I have found that because my lamp is close to me, the 30 watt setting is appropriate for reading books but soft enough to help me calm down and fall asleep.
