Nice set but you only get one of each size. I had to cut a custom length of cable so I needed two. And the smallest barrel was STILL too big. At .250" the DOORMAN kit worked better. For making new cable ends.

Great little emergency kit but does NOT come in a metal case as shown in the picture but in a plastic case. It has a lot of "spikes" so it can fit almost any bike in an emergency. [Wish I had this kit when my throttle cable broke in Alabama! ] Add 4 feet of fine tie wire and fishing line to the kit and some small wire cutters and you're done!

Bought this a few years ago hoping I'd never need it. My friend's clutch cable snapped in the hood, and after spending a few minutes figuring out which ends to use, we lit it up and drove home with no problems. The cable is much thinner than the HD cable, but at least the length is more than adequate. I don't think I would trust a long trip repair but it will get you home or to the dealer for the correct cable. FWIW, the cable was used on a 2005 Custom Made HD with an S&S engine.

I ordered one of these the Friday before Memorial Day for Saturday delivery (which makes me nervous because it's usually USPS and they're the least reliable). This kit saved my weekend! The description is poorly written, but essentially what you get are two cables, each with a nipple on one end (one smaller, one larger) and then a bunch of unsoldered ends. Throttle cable size is generally suitable for motorcycles, less grip. I believe it can happen in an emergency. This is probably designed for bikes. I bought this for the fittings so I'm happy as they should work fine. I would suggest adding threadlock to your tool kit to complete these parts if you plan on using it as part of a roadside emergency kit. from sadness.
