This is exactly what they advertise. My hands are numb after 15 or 20 minutes of driving. That hasn't happened to them yet. They're not very soft and I can still feel the bumps, but for the price I think they're great for commuting and running errands.

I bought these to replace another set of gloves that had worn out after long trips. The fit of the gloves themselves was good and they were comfortable to wear. What didn't work was the size and placement of the gel pads. They are too small and too far apart. When I take the wheel, my palm doesn't rest on the pads. Worse, the pads form a bridge of sorts, and my hand has to awkwardly deform on the grip. In the end I just had to take my gloves off and ride without them, which was much better.

These gloves can be quite good for the price for casual use but compared to my old Perl Izumi cycling gloves they aren't as comfortable and the fabric and stitching not seem to be durable enough. My Perl Izumi gloves wear quite a bit and I thought I'd try a less expensive brand. But I ended up returning them and ordering another pair of Perls. I agree with others who write that the size is small. Most gloves fit my hands in a size medium. I ordered the large for her and they fit true to size.

Both the Giro and the Pearl are mid-size and really fit, nice and neat. I bought them large because that was what the size chart recommended, but they are a bit big.
