Description of 🔧 GearWrench 9509 Reversible Combination Ratcheting: Boost Efficiency with this Versatile Tool

72 tooth ratcheting box end needs a minimal 5° to move fasteners vs. 30° for standard wrenches. Flush mounted reversing lever allows you to change direction without removing the wrench. Off-corner loading design on box end provides better grip and reduces fastener rounding. 15° offset offers increased clearance. Thin head and beam provide greater access in confined work areas. Size conveniently stamped on the head and beam for quick identification. Manufactured from alloy steel for better strength and longer tool life. Bright, full polish chrome finish easily wipes clean and resists corrosion. Meets or exceeds ASME and ANSI specifications. Included rack for storage and organization.

Quality tools, reasonable price

Bought a gear wrench for the first time and am very happy with it. There was a situation where one of the ratchet mechanisms jammed on first use. I ended up putting the fastener in a vise and rocking the end of the ratchet back and forth to loosen it. I suspect a burr or something in the mechanism. All the others were fine, so I think this one was just an anomaly. I would buy them again if I need them in metric.

Pros
  • Slim head and arm for better access in tight work areas
Cons
  • Can't remember

Qualitative, but don't throw away regular keys.

I was pleased with the build quality of these notched keys. But look at the picture and note the diameter of the black part on each end of the box: it's about the same diameter as a regular end of the box, and the GearWrench body is thick enough to often restrict where you put it can use. Since I bought them I've noticed how often fasteners are found near inside corners, pipes etc and I can tell that if you're carrying ratchet wrenches you'll need regular box wrenches as well. I work with low…

Pros
  • 15° offset gives more clearance
Cons
  • Exorbitant price

Spend more for better tools

This tool set has sold me more Snapon wrenches than any number of flyers, promotions or trucks. It's possible to "lose" an irreversible key in tight spots if you're not careful. The ratchet in all smaller wrenches is rough and they tend to change directions and stay in place without warning, turning the ratchet wrench into a large regular combination wrench. Overall just bad quality. I was sent on a trip abroad to work on a hydraulic manifold on a CRJ 900 and I was trying to get the nut off. I…

Pros
  • Storage and organization rack included

  • Can't remember but there was something
