🔌 Interlock Kit for Generators with Cover and QOM2 Frame Size Main Breaker Interlock Kit Review

I have problems with it, it only works if your switch is in the upper right corner of the panel, my switch is in the upper left corner and there are no conditions for it. Looks like I'll have to make my own to match my QO panel.

Switch holder not suitable for SQ D QO panel. Too wide in the middle to fit between the two rows of belts, too high to even put on a belt without covering the next lower belt. No beginner's guide and no safety stickers.

I installed the lockout on a Square D QO panel and it works. However, the circuit breaker cover doesn't fit my QO 30a circuit breaker, it's too big. Would like a matching CB cap as well as Square D lettering to match. It might be fake but works well.

The locking mechanism is clearly the same as the Square D. The display picture says: 1 long mounting bolt, I have 2, 3 slide rails, I have 3, 3 nuts (no nyloc) and washers , I have nuts but only 2 washers. NO ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Made in China Conclusion: You get what you pay for!

This is the perfect fit for my Homeline Square D 200amp panel. There are no instructions, but there are videos on YouTube if needed. The installation took about 10 minutes, I had to file the edge below the main switch as I drilled 1 hole a bit crooked, easy to fix. Now I know the code and $50 less than others are charging.

I can now isolate my 240 volt 200 amp power supply and connect my 5000 watt inverter generator to run my 2400 watt air conditioner in the summer along with fridge, freezer, lights and sensitive electronics to operate another 41 hour (or longer) power outage like we had here in Pleasanton, Texas. In cold weather the central heating runs on natural gas and consumes only about 689 watts per fan.

Very easy to install, the lock works perfectly. BUT the alternator switch mounting bracket is the wrong size for a 2 pole Square D QO switch. See attached photo, the switch opening is approximately 3/8-1/2" wider than the switch, and the "stud" that screws into the switch plate is too long for the QO130M200's plate depth. Without this mounting bracket, it will this item is NOT installed to NEC standards.

Overall I like the product, especially considering the price. I used YouTube for building instructions as most of these locks work the same way and don't come with any documentation. The tab bracket that attaches to the base of the switch box and sits under the panel was about 1/8" longer than my panel. worked. I have a Square-D, QO, 200 amp panel and have been using it to integrate my generator into my main generator.
